I completely disagree. Its pretty obvious that you have never worked closely with an offshore team in a low cost country. Ive done it a lot on major projects for major corporations and its often extremely difficult because the team are usually very inexperienced, have very poor processes and often have a culture of denying and avoiding issues and telling you whatever they think you want to hear. Plus there are major linguistic, cultural and organsation barriers and major differences in interests of the people concerned. It really only works for highly repetitive, highly specified, highly controlled work done in factories where there is a long term relationship and intense quality control. Ive bought work back in house from offshore providers to save time and money and it did. It saved a lot.
