I would have changed the resource mix so that front end developers were not a bottleneck. I would have recruited front end developers on contract and I would have converted backend developers to do front end develoment by having them paired with front end developers.

Excellent suggestions. We considered all of those, but we didn't go for them because:
1. There was no willingness to pay for freelancers due to the uncertainty of Corona. Plus our developers had bad experience with freelancers developing shitty code.
