This is where Scrum is most at odds with the agile manifesto. Scrum is totally focused on the team. It completely ignores the individual. Everything is collective and everyone is treated the same. Scrum says that it recognises no differences between development team members. There is no recognition of individual needs or choices anywhere. Its an implementation of socialist worker collective philosophy. Personally Im a fan of the Mondragon co-operative but these approaches have weaknesses and a lack of attention to individual differences is the key one.
